How To Play Blackjack
Blackjack AU is one of the few casino games that almost everyone has tried once before in their life. The games is incredibly popular around the world, first finding its place in the casinos of Nevada before being ported successfully online. While the main premise of blackjack is about as simple as possible, the game itself can prove to be very tense and often thrilling. Despite the many variants of blackjack that are available, the classic game itself will always be one of the most beloved card games of the modern era.
Players playing blackjack will always be playing against the house, as opposed as to playing against other players, such as in poker. The main aim of the game is to try and have a hand of cards which value is as close to 21 as possible, while trying not to exceed 21. Winning blackjack involves the hand also having a higher value than the cards of the dealer, but always trying to make sure that 21 is never exceeded, as this is an instant fold.
Learning How To Play Blackjack
One of the most enticing aspects of blackjack for new players is the simplicity of the rules involved. The rules of the game are incredibly easy to learn, but this does not mean blackjack is an easy game to master, as it can take years to learn and use a strategy that changes to the odds to the player’s favour.
A regular game of blackjack is played with a standard, international deck of 52 cards, minus the joker cards. The cards are first shuffled by the dealer, and then everyone playing, including the dealer, receives two cards each. Depending on whether the game is free or not, every player will need to make a bet that is added to a pot, with the winning player receiving the total pot, and the house receiving the pot if the dealer wins.
Once every player has their cards, they can check to see the value of the hand they received. If they have a hand of low value, they make ask the dealer to hit them, and the dealer will hand them another random card. With some luck, the new card will allow the player to gain a better score than the dealer without exceeding 21.
If, upon receiving a new card, the hand now exceeds 21, the player has to fold and forfeit the game, while also losing any chance at winning the pot as well as whatever they bet. This doesn’t necessarily means the dealer wins, as other players may have better hands. Players always need to remember that 21 is the most important number in the game, as it can make or break a player’s hand straight away.
How To Player Blackjack: The Cards
Every card in the game has individual value. For instance, a 2 is valued at 2, while a jack, queen, or king is valued at 10. The Ace is of extreme value, as it can count as either 1 or 11, depending on the player’s choice. Landing a queen and an ace, for example, means an instant win for the player, as they can immediately add up to 21.
